Seminary President
Welcome to Africa’s Continental Theological Seminary.
God’s call to ministry carries a responsibility to prepare. Across Africa, the Church needs faithful servants who can interpret Scripture carefully, teach sound doctrine, lead with integrity, and proclaim Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. At ACTS, this conviction shapes our understanding of theological education.
Our purpose is to prepare men and women whose learning strengthens their service to God and His people. We desire to see students grow in their knowledge of Scripture, deepen their relationship with Christ, and develop the wisdom needed to address the questions facing the Church and society. Academic study, prayer, holiness, and practical ministry belong together in this preparation.
As a Pentecostal seminary within the Assemblies of God tradition, we uphold the authority of God’s Word and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that effective ministry requires careful study and dependence upon God. The classroom should strengthen the pulpit, scholarship should serve the Church, and leadership should reflect the character of Christ.
From our home in Dodoma, Tanzania, our vision reaches across Africa and beyond. We welcome pastors, teachers, missionaries, church leaders, and other Christian workers who desire to strengthen their preparation for ministry. Whether you are pursuing further theological study or seeking a study pathway alongside your existing responsibilities, we invite you to explore the opportunities at ACTS.
Africa’s churches serve communities with profound spiritual, social, and intellectual needs. Our task is to equip servant leaders who can bring the truth of Scripture to these communities with understanding, compassion, courage, and faithfulness to the gospel.
As you explore our programs, meet our faculty, and discover our learning community, prayerfully consider your next step. We would be glad to walk with you as you prepare for the work God has entrusted to you.
Welcome to ACTS. May your time of preparation bear lasting fruit for the Church and the Great Commission.
